The 2020 presidential election presented some unique challenges this year, as will the subsequent transition in power. Healthcare-related issues will be in the forefront in the next few months, as President Donald Trump looks to leave his mark through executive orders, the Supreme Court considers the fate of the Affordable Care Act and Congress negotiates stimulus funding. On the table is everything from additional hospital relief funding to changes to the Stark law. In the meantime, President-elect Joe Biden has already signaled he will take immediate action on reversing some of Trump’s political moves as soon as he takes the oath of office in January.
